Meet Celia
After 22 years as an Admission Director at two of Los Angeles’s premier independent schools, and as a mother of two children raised in LA independent schools, I possess a comprehensive and highly sought-after vantage point as an admissions consultant, uniquely qualified to guide parents/guardians and children to the best-matched school for them.
I have successfully placed students from PS-9th grade in well-matched schools, the majority of the students accepted to their first-choice schools.
Having spent my career at Crossroads School and earlier the Archer School for Girls, interviewing thousands of families, assessing students, and chairing admissions committees to build school communities, I know the process inside out. I intrinsically understand what makes for a successful, strong applicant and a compelling family. I have evaluated, accepted, and enrolled students at all grade levels and have curated classes of students representing a wide range of backgrounds, which reflect the diversity of Los Angeles.
Through my years of serving in leadership positions with Los Angeles Admissions Organizations, I have developed strong bonds with Preschool Directors as well as former and current K-12 Admissions Directors across the city and beyond.
I am thrilled to extend my life’s work to help parents/guardians and students successfully and confidently navigate the school admissions process. With proper guidance, the journey can be a wonderfully reflective time in which parents/guardians develop a deeper appreciation of their family dynamic and gain invaluable insights into their child. I walk them through identifying best-matched schools and explain/advise them about the application process, interviews, student assessments, and communications. This leads to a joyful experience as parents of kindergarten-elementary children are guided to the best-matched schools with the goal of acceptance at a school that is a fit.
Finding the best-matched school acceptance for secondary school students is just as satisfying. As the focus shifts to the student, I encourage the student to be as thoughtful as the parent/guardians in identifying the best-matched schools. I direct the student in how to present their best self through the tours, the applications, Open Houses, interviews, assessments, and personal school interactions. Knowledge is power and through our work together, I instill in students the confidence to actively embrace the process, make an impression, and achieve success.
I get results for my clients and I encourage you to contact me.
